Adams speaks at a Statehouse Jobs Rally in 2009.

I am proud to announce that I am seeking re-election in the Democratic primary on June 10, 2014.  I have been blessed with this job where I can help people every day, and I am excited by the chance to continue serving you.

As your Treasurer, my office has been the South Carolina leader in making the payment of taxes easier for our citizens.  We’ve made government work better for you by adding:

  • installment payment options
  • tax drop-off locations
  • bank draft choices
  • and the easiest search-and-pay website in the state

Also, my office has implemented dozens of efficiencies that save our taxpayers time and money:

  • giving citizens their car registration in our office without having to go to DMV
  • real-time receipts for tax payments
  • and the county’s credit rating has increased three times since I came into office
  • (see more: Accomplishments Page)

There are so many unique things we do in Richland County because we never stop searching for innovative new ways to help you.  I am proud of our accomplishments and excited by what we can still achieve, I want to keep making government work better for you in the next four years.

Please take a moment to look over this website to see what I’ve done, to learn more about me, the supporters who are helping us, and where I’ve been working in the community.  I am not only asking for your support, I am working to earn your support so that we can make government work as it should – as a partner for you, not a burden.

I hope that I can earn your vote in the primary on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.  Until then, please e-mail me or call on me or send me mail (below) if you have questions, comments, concerns or an event that you would like me to attend.  I look forward to hearing from you soon!

God Bless You, and All the Best!
